A world-leading digital system delivering lifetime traceability, biosecurity and identification of animals to owners, vets, governments and industries across the world
Our Solutions
Offering global biosecurity, lifetime traceability and identification solutions for owners, vets and governments across the world
Equine Register is recognised as a global leader in animal lifetime traceability, registration, identification, biosecurity technology and database solutions.
We are Defra’s trusted partner in delivering and managing the Central Equine Database (CED) and National ChipChecker on behalf of the UK government and devolved administrations. The CED holds over 1.5 million equine records from the 81 UK passport issuing organisations.
Equine Register also provides specialist expertise and data tools as part of the Livestock Information Programme (LIP). The LIP database holds 60 million records of cattle, sheep and pigs farmed in the UK and we are contracted to provide the conduit to populate the data entering the system.
What the industry thinks...
"A functioning and accurate equine database has the potential to bring huge benefits to owners, sporting bodies, equestrian businesses and, most importantly, to horse health and welfare"
"Equine Register's solutions will be transformational. You can't hold people to account for the way they treat their horses if you can't prove ownership. People need to understand the benefits of the CED and Digital Stable to the everyday horse owner"
"From what I have seen as a potential user, this system would be of huge benefit to the sector and would more than completely fill the government’s regulatory requirements"

You can request that your passport issuing organisation adds your Microchip to the Central Equine Database (CED). To do this online you will need to create a Digital Stable account, verify your identity and address and then claim your equine passports. Whilst claiming you can make updates and add additional information such as Microchips to the CED. Create free Digital Stable account
